INFO FOR COMPETITORS @ HOLYWELL CHALLENGE
You may arrive from 4pm until 11pm on Friday 2nd.
Arrivals from 6.00 am on Saturday/Sunday.
ALL COMPETITORS FOR SATURDAY/SUNDAY RACING MUST BE ONSITE BY 7.30am.
Please do not arrive outside of the permitted times as access is via electric gates next to occupied gatehouses and we do not want to disturb the residents too much.
You should use Post Code SO32 2QE. (Holywell Estate, Swanmore) Sat Navs will take you to the post code and we will be signing you the rest of the way.
PLEASE NOTE - There are other entrances to the Estate but this is the ONLY one you should use. There will be signs guiding you in from the A32 and from the direction of Bishops Waltham.
Once on the Estate please drive very slowly and follow the signs to the Parking/Camping Area.
Part of the permit requires us to comply with an emergency plan - our parking helpers will point you in the right direction so we park in accordance with this. (If you think you will be arriving later than 9pm on Friday please PM me and I can send you a copy of the general plan with guidance on parking in case no one manages to help you as you come in)
For those who aren't camping, please park in the same place on both days.
****There is a lot of space and everyone will be parking in a large field between the Start and Finish so there really is no need to worry about not getting a good spot, all will get a good spot :-)
MUSHERS BRIEFING & CHECK IN
Your goodie bags and bibs will be given to you at Check In which will be in the Marquee anytime between 6 and 9pm with a Briefing at 9pm for those who have arrived on Friday.
Check in from 7.00am on Saturday and there will be a second Briefing at 7.45am on Saturday for those who arrive in the morning or missed the 9pm Friday and 7.45am on Sunday (for Sunday only Competitors)
You need only attend ONE Briefing and you will need to sign in your attendance, you cannot sign in on behalf of someone else. YOU WILL NOT COMPETE WITHOUT ATTENDING A BRIEFING. (Shouldn’t really need to explain why, but it’s a new venue so new to everyone, there will be very important safety points about the trail to explain and all must attend.)
Equipment Checks are voluntary, you are responsible for your own equipment. If you would like someone to check over your equipment then bring it to the marquee and one of the organisers/helpers will check it for you.
